Where I stayed in Paris: Marriott Champs Elysees

Marriott Hotel Champs Elysees

Yes, I stayed in this amazing hotel and no, I didn’t pay for it. The company did, as this is still a part of our business trip. We had a one night stay in a Paris city hotel and among the group of 20 colleagues, it was only 4 of us who got to stay in this prime property. Yay for me! I will have to say that having stayed in Disney’s Newport BayclubΒ before transferring here, it was definitely a huge upgrade.

Marriott Champs Elysees is THE hotel to stay in while in Paris. The location is prime, being the only 5 star hotel which is really located in Champs Elysees itself. A lot of other hotels will have the name of this very famous avenue however, they are normally located in a side street which is a few minutes walk from the avenue itself. It’s a massive property with real Parisian personality: luxurious and glamorous.

We were given an executive room which was huge specially if you are to compare it to European roomΒ standards. The bathroom was also of incredible size while the bathroom amenities were all L’occitane. Entry-level rooms has interconnecting facilities – very good option for families.

This property is sought-after by the Arabic market plainly because of its location since they can go shopping for a few hours and then go back to their hotel to drop off their shopping bags and then venture on to another shopping spree. Seriously, that’s what they do there. I even had some Arabic families who will ask the hotel to ship off some of their luggage because the airline will probably not accept it anymore even if they pay for excess baggage fee.

On top of its location, the hotel is very oriented to the Arabic market. We met the very fun, friendly and accommodating hotel manager who speaks Arabic too. He advised us that there will Arabic-speaking staff in every department – be it in F&B, housekeeping, reception etc. etc. The hotel also has an outdoor restaurant which serves shisha. Last but not the least, they offer free wifi in all public areas. πŸ™‚

If you’ve got the money to splurge then I must say that you shouldn’t even bother looking at any other hotels apart from Marriott Champs Elysees.

Niiice! Hubby and I are getting married this November (church wedding and the whole shebang). We’ve been thinking of a Euro honeymoon right after the wedding. You work in a travel agency in Dubai, right? πŸ˜€ You think we can get a good deal should we decide to go? πŸ˜€

We would want to but we will use our annual leave good for one month! πŸ˜€ I’m staying in Manila for more than a month for final preps and the wedding itself. So after the wedding I will have none left. πŸ™

Well, you will have the whole lifetime to have your honeymoon anyway. πŸ™‚ I’ll wait for your request then. :p
