I’ve been silent for quite a long time I know, my life’s been a whirlwind of events for the past few weeks that I have to keep myself up to. Yesterday when I finally had the time to properly check my email, I was quite overwhelmed. It took me half a day to finish replying on every email and deleting the spams. This morning, I tried to keep up with the comments on this site but it’s just too much so my sincere apologies if I’ve missed some of your comments. Life’s been both busy and exciting the past few days and I can’t wait to share everything with you again.
As I have been updating my Facebook page constantly, some of you may know that I got married. YAY! It was a very intimate celebration attended by close family members of ours – both mine and my husband’s. The reception was held the next day at my mother’s beautiful garden and it was the best wedding reception I’ve ever attended and I’m so happy that it was mine. LOL. It was a very laidback and informal event backdropped by my mother’s whimsical garden – it was lovely. We were lucky that the weather permitted us to enjoy it for a long time, 8 hours to be exact – from 3pm to around 11pm. There was lechon (roasted whole pig), karaoke (of course) and a little bit of ballroom dancing led by my sister – the best part of the party was that everyone had a great time and I was able to spend it with the people who I value the most. If only my brother was able to travel from the Philippines and my father was still alive to witness it with us then I think it would’ve been the perfect day for me.
We spent a week in New York with the husband’s family after the wedding, a place which I have a love-hate-love relationship with and up until now – I’m still quite confused if I like it or not. You’ll know a lot more about it in the coming blog posts. 🙂
After a week-long stay in New York, the husband and I headed to Punta Cana in Dominican Republic to have a Caribbean honeymoon. It was fantastic!!!
I have used about 3 pages on my diary to list all the things that I need to write about from the past few days and I have about thousands of photos to sort out so I can post better pictures on this blog, I better get started on it. I can’t wait to share it all with you.
Until then…
Love,
MRS Pinay Flying High 🙂
Congratulations!
Thank you. 🙂
I have followed you on FB and seen all the gorgeous photos! Congratulations and what a beautiful wedding and wedding reception. The honeymoon looked pretty awesome too and can’t wait to read more about it! xx
It was a very simple, laidback and informal wedding – just the way I like it. We really enjoyed it very much. 🙂 The honeymoon was of course awesome! I sure hope I won’t be able to forget any details out of everything I’ve done in the past few days. 🙂
Love is best when shared by two! There’s no better reason to celebrate! Wishing you both love and happiness every day shared together.
Thank you Rowena. 🙂
