Dubai, UAE | Tony Roma’s at Sheikh Zayed Road

February 21, 2011

Taking a break from all the Italian cuisine that the boyfriend and myself have been eating for the past 2 years, we are now more inclined to try out the different steakhouses of Dubai – of course given that I have an Entertainer voucher for it. Last Thursday night though, we just wanted to have a good steak. So even if I don’t have a voucher nor a staff discount at Tony Roma’s we went there for dinner to try it out. It was a good decision.

The smell of steak emanating from this place as soon as you enter it is kind of like a cheating tactic for them as you suddenly become really hungry that you’d want to order everything you see on their menu. The boyfriend and myself have that bad habit of ordering things which is beyond our human capability to finish so I told him to skip the appetizer and just order a main course, unless they have an onion soup which fortunately they didn’t. We’ve got a thing for onion soups these days. I ordered a rib-eye steak (what else?) with corn cob and coleslaw and mushroom garlic topping as my sauce.

YUMMMMEEEEEEEHHHHHHH!

While the boyfriend ordered a New York sirloin steak with steamed vegetable, french fries and mushroom sauce. Of course we both wanted our steak well-done. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to have a cow on my plate still breathing with blood dripping from its sides and begging you mercifully to not eat it, which is why I like my steak well-done. :p

Hands down, Tony Roma’s has the best steak in town – well at least compared to all the steakhouses we’ve visited the previous times. I’d definitely go back, my plate speaks for itself.

BURP!!!!!

Note: of course no alcoholic drinks served. BOOHOO!
