The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is quite hard to miss with its massive brownstone structure in the middle of the city of Philadelphia. On our way here from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, my love for Philly just kept growing even more. This city is stunning with a combination of the old and modern architecture as their skyscrapers. It’s picture perfect in every direction you turn your head to.
The busy intersection in front of Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul prevented me from taking a photo of this amazing structure from the outside so we decided to just go directly inside the cathedral and let its stunning interior design sweep us off our feet. I can’t really say much about it (which you won’t find in their website) except that it’s beautifully amazing so I’ll just let my crappy photos do the talking for me.
Note: There were quite a lot of people who were actually inside the Cathedral for religious purposes so I wasn’t able to take photos freely and explore the church more out of respect.
[…] spending some time in Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, we went onwards to the Philadelphia City Hall which is known to be the largest municipal building […]
I love the use of fish eye it really brings in the viewer. Fantastic photos.
Thank you, it was a photogenic place. 🙂
Woah! Breathtaking.
It’s beautiful! 🙂
Nice pictures. I’m not religious and if I go to churches, it’s for sightseeing purposes only, but it always feels awkward, running around with a camera, when other people are having a quiet, religious moment (which I’m quite sure they don’t want to be shared on Instagram):)
True, I was very discreet with my hero4 while walking around the church but really, how discreet can you be with it if you’ve got it on a selfie stick? Lol.
