Our last stop of our Philadelphia tour was at the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest. This place holds a special place in my heart as it was our favorite destination when we first visited Philadelphia. It was winter at the time so it was tagged as a Winterfest complete with an ice-skating rink and what looks like a ski cabin. Now that it is summer, they have changed its name to Summerfest and the ice-skating rink morphed into a roller-skating rink.
We arrived there quite early. Well actually, too early. There were only about 5 of us in the vicinity, 3 of them were roller skating which I can’t get myself to do as I’m pretty sure I’d fall flat on my face since there is no penguin to support me.
We ate at the indoor cabin as it was a bit hot outside and feasted on all the junk food that we can find – fries, salt water taffy and cotton candy. We left after we ate to avoid the traffic on our way back to Maryland.
Even though it was a short stay in Blue Cross RiverRink, I still enjoyed it. It’s definitely much enjoyable I bet at night when it will be full of people.
Bonus photos! I love the area around the Blue Cross RiverRink. I can see myself jogging alongside the water if I will be given a chance to live in this city which I fell in love with quite easily! 🙂
Lovely isn’t it? 🙂
Hahaha! The nearest bar’s always a good choice! :p
Philadelphia looks so cool and pretty! I love the early summer vibe and if you get to enjoy it outdoors, it’s even more fun! Your photos are cool, too!
Thank you!
Philadelphia is one of my favorite cities in the US. Can’t begin to describe how much I love it! :p
