The longest airport transfer, ever.

So a passenger of mine earlier was being stingy and would like to take a flight going to New York even if his destination is Los Angeles, because the flights are cheaper to New York during the time of his travel. He then asked me if I can arrange an airport transfer for him from JFK airport to his hotel in Los Angeles. I looked at him for about 5 seconds without saying a word and when I realized that he was not kidding, I typed something on my keyboard and showed him this map:

Oh yes! Definitely, an airport transfer from JFK to Los Angeles.

Oh yes! Definitely, an airport transfer from JFK to Los Angeles.

ME: We can do this transfer definitely, you will arrive in Los Angeles in about 2 days at the least. If there’s no traffic and if you’re not going to have any stops.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask but if ever you, my reader, is going to deal with a travel agent can you please at least do a bit of your own research and I don’t know, look at a map or something? Please?

Hi! I am also working as a Travel Agent (from a small company and smaller market) but I do this a lot of times! Like I had a passenger asking me for a flight from Manila to Dubai with a STOPOVER in CDG. The passenger told me 8 hour transit will do. That made me think hmmmm…… 🙂

Hahahaha! Well that’s totally out of the way huh? Wishful thinking. Lol.
Sometimes, I really do wonder where they are getting these ideas. :p

There is no other way to make the passenger understand it. 🙂

I sometimes get asked about people driving from northern Queensland to Melbourne by Europeans. I tell them if they drive 12 hours a day everyday they might be able to do it in a week 🙂

I love it when their eyes almost explode! I suppose they are used to an hour drive an you are in another country.

It wasn’t hilarious for me earlier. I don’t know if I should just laugh it off or just put up my arms, give up and walk away. :p
