The Entertainer Travel: Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Muscat, Oman

With all the previous blogs that I’ve been posting for the past few days, you’re probably daydreaming about going to Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa yourself. The good news is, you can actually stay in this resort with free room nights if you use your The Entertainer Travel vouchers.

Al Bandar

The Entertainer Qatar not only gives you access to a lot of 2 for 1 deals around Qatar but it also gives you access to The Entertainer Travel products for free which provides free room nights in hotels around the world. Featuring numerous properties across Middle East, Europe, Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa – your holidays are for sure covered by it. They do give out seasonal offers like the hot summer nights which gives you more bonus nights for free on top of the vouchers that you already have.

The idea is you’ll get free room nights in accordance to how many nights you’ve booked and paid in the same property. You’ll get one free night if you’ve paid one night or two free nights if you’ve paid for 2 nights and three free nights if you’ve paid for 3 nights. Additionally, you’ll get 20% off for additional nights after you’ve used your The Entertainer voucher.

Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is included in The Entertainer Travel vouchers. As mentioned before, the property is comprised of three resorts and you get to have travel vouchers for two of them – Al Waha and Al Bandar. Unfortunately the luxury resort of Al Husn is not included in the offer but the other two resorts exudes the same beauty like that of Al Husn anyway.

Although we were staying in Al Husn, we were mostly using Al Bandar’s facilities. We had a great night at the Piano Lounge on our first night and on our last night, we had our dinner at Bait Al Bahar – both outlets are in Al Bandar property.

We found Al Husn’s private infinity pool very quiet and intimate, we wanted to see a lot more action around us so we went to the other side of the resort and stayed at Al Bandar’s pool where free bottles of water with cold towels are immediately handed out to you as soon as you settle on one of their beach chairs.

We of course also tried the lazy river which was supposed to be enjoyed only by kids but we were kids at heart while there so off we went on our buoy which The Greek Mister found hard fitting in. The lazy river runs between Al Bandar and Al Waha properties and the whole (lazy) ride is 16 minutes, I have a full video of it. :p

While there, I was able to check out some of the rooms in Al Waha which may not be as luxurious as the one that we have in Al Husn but still spacious and well-maintained. Being the most family-oriented resort among all the three properties in Shangri La Barr Al Jissah, Al Waha is the most lenient when it comes to maximum capacity in their rooms. This is the very reason why I loved to sell this property when I was still a travel agent, you’ve no idea how much this means to us specially when your client has odd number of kids. 😛

Depending on the ages of the children, they can sometimes allow a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children in one room. They also have a lot of interconnecting rooms for families with bigger children. All rooms will have balcony facing either the pool or the beach.

I would really love to go back to Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa – The Greek Mister and myself agreed that this property is the most beautiful we’ve ever seen/stayed in the whole of GCC, mainly because of the natural beauty of their beach. Being from the islands of the Philippines and Greece, we’re both used to seeing beaches surrounded by nature not buildings like what we’ve seen in the other resorts that we’ve stayed in here in the Middle East. 🙂

I was a guest at Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa however as always, all opinions stated are my own.
