The Entertainer Qatar | LPG Session at Skin & Soul, Lagoona Mall

December 29, 2015

I’ve been meaning to use my Entertainer voucher for an LPG session in Skin & Soul ever since I got the Entertainer app but it’s only now, the last month of the year was I finally able to use it. What was stopping me? I wasn’t sure if it would be good for me or if it really works. Well, I won’t really know until I tried right? So when I finally had the courage to do it, I booked a session at Skin & Soul in Lagoona Mall making sure that they know I’ll be using my Entertainer voucher.

What is LPG?

Lipomassage LPG Endermologie is very effective at treating cellulite in all areas, saddlebags, loose sagging skin, & localized fat.  It gently yet intensively conditions skin tissue to eliminate fat deposits, revitalize blood and lymphatic circulation and reactivate lipolysis. With the multiple rotational differentials of the ROLL modalities, LIPOMASSAGE is also able to stimulate the collagen and elastin production and firm slackening skin.

LPG Treatment

LPG is supposed to resculpt your body and get rid of cellulites. I’ve lost a few kilos since I arrived in Doha (yeah I know, it doesn’t look like it) but I noticed that my thighs have been flabbier and has not changed its size so I thought an LPG treatment would be great.

I was immediately assisted as soon as I arrived at Skin & Soul, the person in charge for the LPG treatments asked me to change into an ENDERMOWEAR which is an opaque clothing specific to LIPOMASSAGE. I was reminded that I will have to pay QR250 for the purchase of this endermowear which I agreed to.

Once changed, she assessed and measured specific parts of my body and told me that she will be treating my thigh area, buttocks, tummy and arms. She also explained how the LPG works and how many minutes it will be for each areas. A hand-held machine will be used on these areas which is supposed to suck out the fat and tone it afterwards.

I asked her if it’s painful, without even blinking an eye she said “YES!”. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting that it would be painful because I’ve done my own research about LPG treatment and pain wasn’t mentioned anywhere. I do appreciate her honesty though, at least I was mentally and physically prepared for what I’m about to undergo.

How was it? It was FREAKING PAINFUL!!!! Just to be clear though, I have a very low tolerance in pain that even getting my eyebrows done would bring me to tears. So the sucking motion of the LPG treatment across my body was excruciating for me. The second part which was toning was bearable though, I actually enjoyed it a little but the longer she’s doing it – the more sore I get. My tummy area is a totally different story though as no matter how less the pressure she puts in it, it was still too painful for me. I had to ask her to stop since I really couldn’t handle the pain anymore.

I walked out of there with my whole body sore which lasted for 2 more days. I used my Entertainer voucher which would give me one free treatment but after that first experience, I don’t think I’ll ever do it again. Not even if someone pays me to do it.To get the best result, I was told that you will have to complete all 12 sessions which I’m definitely not going to do. Good thing about this experience though is I realized how painful it is to lose weight and resculpt my body so I was more determined to do it the natural way. That day, I skipped dinner. Lol.

Just to be clear though, this is my own personal experience and I’m not saying that you will have the exact same thing if you do the LPG treatment. As mentioned earlier, I have a very low tolerance in pain so unless you’re like me – I don’t think you’ll feel the same as I did.

It’s very interesting to learn about this treatment and how it works. I always believe that natural ways to loose weight or to get anything done are best. But sometimes, intervention from other methods could be useful. I think we’re on the same boat, I was also thinking that I need to commit to the gym classes more starting January! and watch what I eat more. I saw your Facebook post about skipping dinner and now that I know the reason, it sounds so funny! 😀 LOL All the best in your keeping fit and weight loss journey. We can support each other 🙂

I’ve been going to the gym regularly since I arrived here in Doha but the holidays I’ve taken in between ruin it for me! I always gain more weight than what I’ve lost when I come back from a holiday. Hah!
