The Entertainer Qatar | Business Lunch in Megu, The Pearl Qatar

Business Lunch at Megu, The Pearl Qatar

October is a special month for me, being my birth month and it is also widely known that the weather starts becoming cooler in this part of the world during this month. Double YAY! It’s going to be my first birthday celebration in Doha and I have been cracking my head to figure out the best way to celebrate it but couldn’t decide what to do and where to do it. Then I remembered to check the monthly offers of The Entertainer Qatar for this month as I’ve always used it before when celebrating my birthdays in Dubai. Instead of planning what to do on my birthday though, I ended up booking lunch dates with friends in the next few days to use the Business Lunch offers for this month. YAY!!! My birthday plans will have to wait, first things first – business lunch at Megu at The Pearl Qatar.

I’ve been to Megu before and was extremely satisfied by their dishes. Each and every person are different though, what’s good for my taste might not be good for others and vice versa so I was hoping that my lunch date for the day would somehow find this restaurant as pleasing as it is for me. I was raving about it to her before going that I probably sounded like a walking advertiser for Megu before we went there.

We arrived once again in an empty restaurant, just like the previous lunch I had there. It’s probably the location, being at The Pearl – people might not be too keen to drive all the way there through the traffic for lunch during the weekdays. Worked well for us though as we practically had the restaurant to ourselves for the first hour. A few other tables were occupied though at around 1 in the afternoon, I guess we were just too early for lunch.

Their business lunch menu is a 3-course meal with 4 options each for appetizers, main course and desserts. You may pick one dish for each course plus hot and cold drinks for their business lunch which is priced at QR150 per person. After perusing their menu though, I ended up having the same thing that I had on my previous visit – instead of getting one of the main dishes, I opted for a platter of house rolls. You get to choose 4 kinds of rolls which will be served in three’s, so that’s a total of 12 rolls per platter. My lunch date opted for the same.

I had spicy and crispy shrimp, crunchy unagi and garlic, spicy seared salmon belly and crab and avocado rolls. “I’m absolutely loving this.” is what my lunch date said as we were in the middle of stuffing all these goodness in our mouth. I’m glad she loved it as I did. Every single dish served were tasty, I had to eat everything slowly to really savor and enjoy it. More than the great food, service was equally great. Our server was named Gary who was all smiles the whole time.

I had a cup of coffee with my dessert as we gave time for our stomach to digest the feast that we just had before leaving the place. If not for the fact that I live so far away from The Pearl, I’ll probably be a frequent lunch diner of Megu. Unfortunately, there’s only one business lunch offer at Megu for this month. Good thing though – my lunch date also has The Entertainer Qatar so yes, we’re definitely going back for a buy 1 take 1 business lunch offer.

Meanwhile, I still don’t know what to do for my birthday. Any suggestions? 🙂

Instead of paying QR300, we only paid QR150 as our total bill by using The Entertainer Qatar’s buy 1 take 1 Business Lunch offer at Megu Qatar.

So beautifully presented. Food nowadays is more about the presentation as it is about the taste. The better it looks on IG seems to be the goal nowadays. Is the entertainer like the version of Group On over there?

As they say, the eyes eat first. The more appetizing it looks, the more you’d want to eat it.
Thankfully, all these tastes as good as it looks. Lol.
It is somehow like groupon but all the deals with the restaurants, hotels and shops are valid for the whole year – unlike Groupon which gives you a specific time of use.
