The Entertainer Qatar | Bodylines Massage at Oryx Rotana Doha

Bodylines at Oryx Rotana Doha

It’s been very busy for us for the past few weeks as we’re in the middle of processing something very important which I still can’t announce publicly. One thing’s for certain though, it’s going to be a huge change in our lives if ever it will push through. I’m crossing my fingers that it will. Anyway, I decided to have a massage last week as I could feel all the knots on my back forming once again which makes it hard for me to sleep at night. My Entertainer App of course helped me decide where to get one and after going through the numerous spa vouchers that they have – I chose Bodylines at Oryx Rotana because it’s the nearest to our house. :p

It’s not a proper spa in fact, they only have one massage room (I think) and it’s inside the hotel’s gym. However, they do have all the amenities like jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms. The Entertainer offer was pay for a 30-min massage and get another 30-min for free so basically, you’ll have an hour massage for the price of 30 minutes which is a good deal if you ask me.

I was asked by Rainbow (not her real name but her name translates to it) to spend a few minutes in the sauna to somehow ease my muscles a bit before we start on the massage. Once I felt a bit claustrophobic in their sauna room (I don’t feel very comfortable in small spaces), I went to the massage room where Rainbow was already waiting for me.

She started by climbing on top of the massage table where I was lying down and started cracking my back which I consider the best way to start a massage. I immediately felt so relaxed and was half-asleep right after. There’s something about cracking all the joints in my body which releases all the tension for me and instantly puts me in a very relaxed state. That’s just me though, I’m pretty sure some of you may find it weird. She spent a good 30 minutes giving me a Swedish massage on my back which I told her to focus on and it was the absolute best! I could feel the knots on my shoulder area loosening up as she kneads through it.

The last part of the massage was a Thai massage, she stretched all parts of my body in every direction which again has a relaxing effect on me. I was however a bit worried that she might fall from the massage table as she climbed on it and tried to stretch my legs, my arms and my back. Thankfully, the massage finished with no casualties whatsoever.

Even before the massage ended, I was already planning my next visit as I’m sure that it won’t be the first and the last time I will be having my massage there. It may not be a proper spa but Rainbow (I forgot her real name, shame on me) does give a proper massage. I do highly recommend her when you visit Bodylines.

I paid QR200 instead of QR300 for a 1-hr massage after using my Entertainer voucher. Approximate total savings for 2016 thru The Entertainer App as of date is QAR149.

Reading this made me what to go and get a massage so my back could be cracked. Like you, I feel so relieved after that’s done that it’s like I could carry on with whatever I’m doing even if I don’t get massaged after. But of course, getting a massage is still the best way to make sure all your muscles are unknoted 🙂

Just got back from Bali. The massages are so cheap, ranging from $6 to $10 an hour. Absolutely divine.
