Expat Life in Dubai

The Entertainer Fine Dining Book

January 10, 2012

For 2 consecutive years, I’ve bought The Entertainer Family books, I realized it just now that I clearly don’t need the whole family book as I don’t use much of what’s in it anyway (Dubai activities, fastfood chains, restaurants which doesn’t serve alcohol :)). So for this year, I bought The Entertainer Fine Dining book. Woot Woot!

I bought it online from The Entertainer website and paid AED315 instead of AED350 if you buy it from the bookstores. It was a big hassle though and I don’t think it just happened to me as I’ve seen a lot of complaints on their Facebook page about the same thing. First off, putting on your credit card details on any website is already a hassle enough what more having an error page right after you’ve put it in and you receiving a confirmation from the bank that the amount has been charged on your card. I was totally lost for a whole day as I tried to call The Entertainer’s number several times and even dropped them an email – but to no avail, no response. Thank goodness to Facebook and the ability for you to make a complaint on their page for everybody to see – of course someone will take action on it. Anyway, to make the long story short (3 working days to be exact) – they finally found the payment I’ve made and they delivered my book this afternoon, just before the weekend! I still appreciate the help and assistance I received from their staff though.

Anyway, how do you use The Entertainer book? Easy! Tear our the coupon you want to use, go to the restaurant of your choice, present the voucher and voila! One main menu course/item or even buffet will be free of charge if you purchase the same or higher value of main menu course/item or buffet. Last year, I saved up almost AED3000 including the vouchers I used from The Entertainer Travel. It’s amazing if you’d think of the total amount of savings you’ll get for a whole year when you use these vouchers.

If you’re still sitting there, imagine me dragging you out of that chair to go to the nearest Virgin Megastore to buy the book. (I wouldn’t recommend buying the book online :p). Yalla! Yalla!
