Around The World

My Travels in 2013.

December 29, 2013
Eiffel Tower, Paris, France
I seriously thought that I didn’t travel much this year until I started writing this post. It may not be as much travels as the other years that passed but there is a reason to it. This year, I have seen a change in trend in my traveling style. I no longer put in as much places to visit in my itinerary – making sure that I stay in each cities at least for 4 full days – at the very least, to be abl

Things To Do In Hua Hin: Day Visit to Khao Luang Cave (Photo blog)

December 15, 2013
Khao Luang Cave, Thailand
Khao Luang Cave is an impressive cave which houses a large number of Buddha images. From our hotel, we took a driver to bring us to this area which wasn’t that very far. There were lots of monkeys on the way to the entrance of the cave and I don’t mean 20’s or 30’s of them, I meant like hundreds. Well ok, I’m exaggerating but it was a little bit scary as the monkeys seem to be quite ag

Things To Do in Hua Hin: Shop at Hua Hin Floating Market

December 11, 2013
Hua Hin Floating Market, Thailand
Frankly, I was quite disappointed with the night market in Hua Hin. I thought it was going to be as huge as Chatuchak in Bangkok but it turned out to be a tinier version of it. There were not many choices then for shopping and food. On the plus side, Hua Hin in general is so much cheaper than Bangkok. The general merchandises such as the t-shirts, keychains and fridge magnets were all priced the same in every stall

December 1, 2013
Anantara Resort and Spa Hua Hin, Thailand
As a birthday gift to my aunt who just turned 70, I wanted to give something special to her. Since she loves to travel as I do, I booked a 4-day stay in Anantara Resort and Spa Hua Hin in Thailand for us including my cousin. I also booked a spa treatment for her as part of the gift which she really loved! We all have never been to this seaside town of Thailand so that was a first for all of us. As I was already in

Where I Stayed in Bangkok: Lebua at State Tower

November 29, 2013
Lebua at State Tower’s Lobby We arrived at Lebua at State Tower with high hopes that this is going to be the best hotel that we’ll be staying in for this trip, it is after all hyped up by the movie The Hangover. The lobby was grand and very posh, we were immediately greeted by a concierge and were led to one of the plush couches at the lobby. A friendly Thai receptionist greeted us and started our check

Things To Do in Krabi: Shop and Eat in Ao Nang.

November 27, 2013
Ao Nang I would say is the tamer version of Patong in Phuket. The streets are lined up with restaurants, bars, hotels, massage/spa parlors, tourist kiosks and the occasional mini markets. We’ve decided to have our dinners in Ao Nang after we’ve tried the very quiet dinner at our hotel – Sofitel. We figured that we want to see some other people around us and not just stare at each other the whole n
