Where To Stay In Dambulla: Amaya Lake

June 2, 2014
Amaya Lake
Amaya Lake in Dambulla is one of the resorts that I’ve seen in Sri Lanka which stuck in my memory. It’s a huge property and I love the fact that they have kept the natural landscape of the place. The entrance of the hotel with boulders of rocks surrounding it gives you an impression that you’re going into a cave which is actually what this property is famous for. The architect, Geoffrey Banwa, blended

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

We did it the very next day of our arrival in Sri Lanka with not much of sleep and time for a rest. My mind was still a bit hazy from the lack of sleep when we reached the Rock Fortress site, it was around 0830hrs but the site was already quite packed. After a short toile
