Isn’t it pretty?

I met up with some of the Bloggers In The City at City Walk the other day, a place which I have heard of several times but have never really been to yet. I arrived 45 minutes earlier than everyone else because as you may know, I’m trying to de-stress myself and not have my life revolve around work so I got out of work right on time. Probably 15-minutes of overtime was spent in the office then I rushed out of it. I’ll have to admit that it is kind of working for me, the headache somehow subsided and the heart palpitations that I’ve been having lessened. Wooha!

So when I arrived at City Walk, I had a lot of time to myself – to just walk around this new discovery which is actually quite a pleasant place. I’ve passed by this area several times but I was under the impression that the whole place is only the promenade facing the main road, I never realized that it’s a lot bigger than that. It’s one whole block of small shops, salons and restaurants with a fountain in the middle and a play area for kids. There were a lot of families that day being a Saturday so the cafes and restaurants were mostly packed. The smell of shisha smoke was all over the place, a welcome treat for my nose as it’s been a long time since I’ve had shisha. :p

When the girls arrived, we decided that we all want to satisfy our Asian palettes so we chose Pei Wei as our dining destination for the evening. I’ve had their food several times for delivery and it has never failed to satisfy my Asian food cravings. That night, I had spicy chicken salad. One word: YUM!

After all the catching ups (read: gossiping) and filled stomach, we went to Earth Fruits Yogurt for dessert. Their shop is in the middle of the square itself right in front of the fountain, it’s a prime spot for a shop I’d say. They have all sorts of yogurt flavors which you can combine with fresh fruits or sweets. It’s probably the healthiest and tastiest dessert I’ve ever had. It really is a must if you ever find yourself at City Walk.

We capped the night off at around 11 in the evening and I had only two things in mind: 1. it’s always fun to meet up with these girls; and 2. I’d definitely go back to City Walk to try out some other restaurants in the area.
