We’ve passed by this restaurant a million times and have always told each other (boyfriend and I) that we’ll eat there someday. So after a year of saying that, we finally managed to try it out last Friday night when we’re both too lazy to go some place fancy and he’s too lazy to drive around. Koreana is located in Al Barsha, a little out of the way if I may say:

But since we are residents of Al Barsha, we managed to get there in no more than 5 minutes. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and some staff and were immediately seated at a vacant table. It’s funny because unlike the other restaurants in Dubai which focuses more into details, this family-run restaurant right here care less about it and focused more on the quality of food which I must say is extremely great! They offer Japanese and Korean dishes but of course we settled more on the Korean side of the restaurant. The menu was extensive and quite confusing but I managed to find Bulgogi on their menu and we ordered 2 servings – beef and chicken. We also had jabchae which is a Korean-style noodles along with it. Of course they gave us free appetizers which is customary for Korean restaurants.
The flavor of both the bulgogis was fantastic! I suddenly realized how much I miss Korean food. The only downside is the lettuce they gave us was too small to wrap the bulgogi with but that didn’t stop me from stuffing my face with all these yummies. I paid AED195.00 together with a large bottle of water which I think is kinda pricey but they just cook real good food so it’s all worth it.
