You can spend so much money to stay in a resort but all the aesthetic beauty of it is nothing if great service isn’t provided at the same time, right? Four Seasons Doha knows this and they make sure that the amount you pay is worth all its value and exceeds your expectations with its grandiose beauty and service. I’ve been to quite a few resorts now in Doha to try out their pool and beach access for a day and I have to say, Four Seasons Doha has gone over and beyond of what I have expected it to be.
We were lucky enough to be given a preview of this day pass feature which Four Seasons Doha will roll out starting 27th March 2016. Priced at QR375 per person, it is by far the most expensive day pass rate I’ve encountered here in Doha but I say this without being biased – I’d be willing to pay that amount as it’s worth every penny. Read on to see what this rate includes.
Among all the resorts and hotels we’ve visited for a pool and beach access – Four Seasons Doha really stood out. I should probably stop featuring any other properties after this because I’m pretty sure they have set quite a high standard which is now going to be my benchmark when trying out other properties in Doha.
“Do you want me to prepare a day bed for you?” I was asked by a very friendly Four Seasons Doha staff as soon as I walked in their main pool area. “Yes please”, I replied back. He then proceeded to cover a day bedΒ with one beach towel and another towel was carefully tucked at the end . An extra towel was folded, rolled and then placed at the head of the day bed which served as a pillow to rest our neck as we laze by the pool. We’ve never had anyone prepare a day bed for us in other properties in fact, the only service we’ve received from the other properties was us being given a towel.
We were already quite pleased by that service alone however, it didn’t end there. For the whole day we were spoilt by the professional and friendly service of the staff. Β A huge cooler was given to us with 8 bottles of cold water inside. We were also given two options for sunscreen with differing SPF protection, depending on our needs. A food and drink menu was left on our side table with a button which we can press if we need to order, cancel an order or the bill. It’s Four Seasons being its fabulous self.
The pool area was gorgeous, perfectly designed to make you feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical island with its palm trees, mini falls and the grotto-style design. They have so many pools, 5 to be exact, that even though there were quite a few people enjoying the pool with us, it didn’t feel crowded at all. In fact, I didn’t even feel like there were other people with us.
Four Seasons Doha’s beach was good however, I’ve mentioned before that I’m not really a big fan of beaches in the Middle East. Although the long stretch of sand was beautiful, I still wasn’t impressed – that’s the Filipino in me talking who grew up knowing only one kind of beach – white sand beaches with crystal clear blue waters, a wall of trees and an endless view of the sea.Β So don’t get me wrong, I’m just really very hard to please when it comes to rating a beach. :p
We spent the whole day by the pool enjoying its refreshing cool water which was such a relief for us as it was quite hot the day we visited Four Seasons Doha. (Summer in Doha is coming! Brace yourselves!) At noon, we went to their beachside restaurant – Pool Grill for lunch. The QR375 per person as a day pass rate includes a non-refundable credit of QR200 per person towards your food and drink at Pool Grill.
We shared breaded calamari and club sandwich. The breaded calamari came in skewers which I found odd at first but loved it after first bite. Their club sandwich was a big portion with pan-fried egg, chicken breast, beef bacon and sliced tomatoes. Good thing we decided to share it.
After a very filling lunch, we spent the rest of the day sleepingΒ by the pool enjoying the sunshine or what’s left of it. At some point, we had to transfer to a different lounge chair where we could still catch some sun. We brought our own towel and as we laid on a badly prepared lounge beds, a staff came to fix it for us. He was, I think, quite annoyed by the fact that we did it ourselves and we didn’t call him to do it for us right away. Lol.
As the sun was slowly setting behind one of the towers of the hotel, another staff came and offered to clean our sunglasses for us. If I had known that they do this kind of service here, I probably would’ve brought all my dirty sunglasses with me. :p
And just like all the great service we’ve received for the entire duration of our stay wasn’t enough, fresh fruit salad was given to us right before we left. It’s these little things which made such a tremendous difference from all the other pool and beach access we’ve tried here in Doha. It may be the most expensive pool and beach access rate but Four Seasons Doha made sure that it’s absolutely worth every hard-earned penny you’re going to spend.
I still have a few other resorts/hotels to visit here in Doha to finalize my pool and beach access feature but after a visit at Four Seasons Doha, I probably should just end it here. They have totally ruined it for the other properties now and I don’t think I’ll ever be pleased if I don’t get the same service as what I’ve received here.
A gorgeous pool and fantastic service in a 5 star setting, Four Seasons Doha is definitely at the top of my list.

Hahahaha! Dirty toys? I’d say that’s pushing a lot. Lol.
I love your ides of visiting the hotels in Doha!! I don’t even have a doubt that the Four Seasons is amazing, I can tell by the excitement in your words. I even felt like I was there. What a great idea this with the day bed! I’d love that π
I’m curious to see how your next reviews are going to be!!
Thank you for joining #MondayEscapes π
I had to stop my pool and beach day pass access series, I didn’t realize how much it would take for me to edit the photos and videos. Lol. I’ll probably start it next month again. :p
Sounds incredible Kat! I love all those little touches. Many of the five star hotels I have stayed at in Dubai give great service like you experienced so it is only right you get the same treatment as the residents! Good that some of the lunch was included in the price… looks delicious! I am seriously jealous of this series and the Four Seasons sounds just perfect. I really want to be there now!! Thanks for linking to #citytripping
Thank you Elizabeth! π Yes, I’m also having a great time doing this series! :p
Great review and whoa this looks seriously amazing! I have family that lives in Doha and they always talk about how bad the weather can get, so that pool access is a must! Sounds like it’s worth checking out π
Oh then you should definitely come over for a visit! π
Great review! Four Seasons Doha surely looks gorgeous.
I’ve never been in a resort like this (in any resort, actually), I keep dreaming π
I’m not sure if I’d feel comfortable with so much service (even sunglasses cleaning!) since I’ve never experienced it, but I’d certainly like to try all the swimming pools and go to the beachside restaurant π
It may be Four Seasons but the service is extremely good and not at all snobbish. Trust me, I’m an awkward person too and not really into fancy things in life but I loved our experience here. π
That’s good to know! π
DANG, this is definitely the most impressive pool access you’ve had so far! It’s like you guys were VIP or something! Thanks for sharing with us!
Hahahaha! I love your comment! Say it as it is! Lol. They treated everyone like a VIP so unfortunately (or fortunately) it wasn’t exclusive to us. :p
Wow I would love to stay here! Maybe someday π
Make it soon! π
I’m such a diva when it comes to beaches – it has to have a tropical feel to it before I can appreciate it. :p
Thanks for dropping by. xx
Wow this looks breathtaking, I love the pool and the grounds of a location has a huge bearing on whether I book a hotel/resort or not and this looks just stunning x
Me too! Specially if I’m going to stay in the property most days of my holiday, I always consider their grounds before booking. :p
Thanks for dropping by. xx
This is absolutely stunning! I have never seen a pool like this. I will definitely be looking this up when I makenit to Qatar!
It’s a beautiful property, definitely one of the MUST stays in this country. π
Thanks for dropping by. xx
What an experience – I love that they’ll even clean your sunglasses for you. Looks absolutely blissful – I think someone would have had to carry me out kicking and screaming… Thanks for linking up to #citytripping
Hahahaha. That’s how I felt like when we were about to go home – throw a tantrum! Lol.
Thanks for dropping by. xx
The Four Seasons looks amazing! Doha is now on my bucket list!
Thanks for dropping by Jennifer, you should definitely see this side of the world. π
This is splendid and glad you had a great time. The resort, the photos are very enticing! π
Thank you for dropping by Sandy, it was definitely a fabulous property! π
This hotel looks amazing! Great review!
Thank you Kelly! π
I just converted so its around $100 – Not bad, I would say. The place looks spectacular and I bet it was worth every penny. The pool looks so inviting – I can see myself chilling by it all day.
It’s a bit pricey, no doubt about that – it’s actually the most expensive pool and beach access here in Doha but you’re absolutely right as it’s worth every penny. π
That’s pretty cool! Next time you should stay overnight and let us know how the rooms are! π
Hahaha! Yes, I hope I will next time. π
I’ve never been to Doha but seeing this makes me want to hop on a plane and go!
Hahaha! You should definitely try and visit this side of the world Roni. π
You’re constantly making me jealous with these posts – still sporadically rainy over here in Seattle – could use the sun and relaxation right now.
Well summer is almost here so I will have to stop this series soon. Summer here is dreadful! :p
I am loving the idea of a hotel day pass more and more. I think I am going to consider that during particular hot weeks (I do not have air conditioning). Everything looks beautiful in this resort. Lucky you for visiting such gorgeous places ;0)
It’s definitely something different and a luxury I think, to spend a day in a hotel/resort without the commitment of an overnight stay. :p
Wow – such an awesome place to visit, even if it’s just for the day! π
Definitely is! π
Wow. What a first class resort and that treatment! I’d love to experience it on my upcoming trip to the Philippines but sadly won’t be in the region. Savored every picture.
Thank you Elaine, whereabouts are you headed in the Philippines?
This indeed looks awesome <3 I cannot believe I have left the Middle East now because I have also discovered that you can spoil yourself very well with such beach and pool access (if you cannot or do not want to pay that much for just one night). Really lovely pictures <3
Thank you luv. I’m not quite sure if it’s only in the Middle East where hotels give a day pass access but it sure would be great if every hotel around the world does it. :p
Love the post!! amazing in every way π
Thank you Aditi. xx
great blog!
Thank you Zeke! π
Awesome shots. I have never been to a Four Seasons.
Never too late to try one now. π
Very cool video and great soundtrack choice! I liked how the video was edited in a way that made the length of the shots just right. It was interesting to watch until the end!
I laughed so hard when I read this: ” If I had known that they do this kind of service here, I probably wouldβve brought all my dirty sunglasses with me. :p”
I miss you and I miss your sense of humour! looking forward to seeing you soon! XXX
Thanks Nada! I’m still feeling bad that I didn’t bring all my sunglasses with me maybe when you’re here, I will! π See you soon! xx
