Luxury is at an arm's reach with the pool and beach access offered by the numerous resorts in Doha. A welcome treat during this region's summer heat.

Summer is here! With the rising temperature here in Doha, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only here dreaming of being in a tropical island enjoying the sounds of the gentle waves and the refreshing waters of the ocean. Well guess what? Doha has a lot of places for you to enjoy just that. Okay, maybe not the best beaches but it certainly can satisfy anyone’s craving for a little short break without having to take a flight or use your leave days.

If you’ve been following my blog (thanks!) you’ll know that I’ve been going around the city trying out the pool and beach access of different hotels here in Doha for the past couple of weeks. I managed to visit 6 before I realized how hard it is to keep up with this series. You might be thinking I’m just enjoying the pool of a 5-star resort the whole day, what’s so difficult about that? Well you have no idea! No idea!

Anyway, instead of moaning about how hard my life is – here’s the round-up of all the resorts I’ve visited which offers a pool and beach access in Doha and a short description of why you should try it out. I’d highly appreciate it as well if you click on each of the post because 1. I worked so damn hard to do it; 2. There are a lot more photos in it and 3. There’s also a video featuring the resort. Enjoy!

Why you should try it out? Simply because it’s the best pool and beach access I’ve ever tried. Intercontinental Doha

Pool and beach access Intercontinental Doha PinayFlyingHigh.com-16

Why you should try it out? It boasts to have the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen here. I’ve never liked any beaches in this region simply because most doesn’t meet my beach standards (I’m from the Philippines with 7,000 islands, I know what I’m talking about) until I’ve seen Intercontinental Doha’s beach. It’s also the most fun pool and beach access we’ve done as we were able to join the Stand Up Paddleboarding class while there. Great fun.

Price: Adult QR200; Child QR100

Sharq Village and Spa

Sharq Village and Spa PinayFlyingHigh.com-14

Why you should try it out? It’s the classiest and most elegant pool I’ve ever had the pleasure of swimming in (although the water was unbelievably cold). I also like the fact that they have 2 separate pools and one of them has the kiddie and the adult pool where most of the people would go. I basically had their main pool all to myself.

Price: Single QR250 , Couple QR400

The St Regis Doha

Why you should try it out? Their Olympic-size pool is quite irresistible. It’s so huge that swimming the whole expanse of their pool makes you do your workout at the same time, refreshes you from the Doha heat that we now have.

I still have a lot of other resorts to visit I know. I’m just taking a little break from this series for now and planning to get back on it soon. I’d be updating this list of course everytime I get to try a new resort.
