After our tour at the Eastern State Penitentiary, we went to Philadelphia City Hall to go to the Observation Deck which we weren’t able to visit the first time we were in Philly. As luck would have it, we were not able to access it the second time around as well as the tickets were already sold out for the day. The next available ticket was for October. Yaiks! So with a heavy heart, we checked out John F. Kennedy Plaza otherwise known as the Love Park and stayed for some time there.
Afterwards, we went to the nearby Dilworth Park which was just beside Philadelphia City Hall. We had a gelato while there as we watched a school rally happening at the time.
Afterwards, we walked around some more and admired the city of Philadelphia. What I love about it is the architectural design of the whole city – the fusion of classic and modern architecture all in one place makes it such a beautiful scene to look at.
It was a perfect day for us to walk and drive around the city which we have enjoyed immensely.
I just wish we were able to see Philadelphia from a bird’s view point at the observation deck, maybe (hopefully) next time.
