Oman | Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa – Al Husn, The Room.

Shangri La Barr AL Jissah Resort and Spa

After our quick and personalized check-in, we were immediately led to our Deluxe Seaview Room. It was to our delight that the check-in didn’t take long as we’ve had a very long day of traveling and getting stuck at the airport for immigration reasons for about 3 hours. More on that on a different post. Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa’s luxurious lobby already gave me a glimpse of what our room would be like but I still couldn’t hold my excitement when I finally walked in our room – it was beautiful!

The room is very spacious and exudes elegance with Arabic decors and elegant furnishings. There was a fruit platter waiting for us which was replenished daily.

The marble-clad bathroom was of huge size as well with separate bath, shower, toilet cubicles and a walk-in closet.

Al Husn guests enjoy complimentary mini-bar which is filled with juice, beer, water and some snacks and replenished daily. We had most of our late nights by our balcony enjoying the complimentary drinks. Speaking of balcony, it was night time when we arrived so we didn’t really know what we have as our view until the next morning. I was so excited to wake up the next day to see our view, waking up early during a weekend break is worth it if you’ve got this for your view I guess:

I think I took about a hundred photos during the first 30 minutes of seeing it. It’s incredible!

I absolutely love the range of mountains as a backdrop to the beach. It gives out more atmosphere to an already dramatic scene. I loved it!

The Greek Mister wasted no time either and enjoyed his early morning coffee and cigarette while admiring our view. We both agreed that this is definitely the most beautiful beach scenery that we’ve ever seen here in the Middle East. It’s natural beauty, unlike the other beaches that we’ve seen which has a city skyline as your view.

The balcony is definitely our favorite part of the room, the view from is unbeatable!

I do believe that the rooms in Al Husn Resort is that room that I wouldn’t mind staying the whole day in. Of course in a resort as beautiful as Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, you have to get out and explore the grounds but I’m just saying that if the weather permits us not to explore it – staying in a Deluxe Seaview room in Al Husn the whole day won’t be a problem for me. We really enjoyed our stay here, the only problem that we had was 2 nights wasn’t enough! 🙂

I was a guest at Shangri La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa – Al Husn however as always, opinions and photos are my own.

What a gorgeous view from your balcony, I would of spent countless hours sitting outside. The room and bathroom looked really spacious too.

Yes, it is very spacious! Not at all cramped, even the balcony. 🙂
I can stay there the whole day really without getting tired of the view. 🙂

It looks gorgeous. One of my friends who lives in UAE went here for a long weekend last year and loved it!

We loved it too! Not just the resort but the whole of Oman. It’s just really different – the vibe, the people and the weather. 🙂
