Nafplio, Greece | 3 Sixty Hotel And Suites

3 Sixty Hotel and Suites, Nafplio, Greece

Elegance meets comfort is how I would describe 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites. It caught my eye as I browsed through the list of hotels in Nafplio, Greece before our holiday. There was something about it which made me want to spend my nights there for this leg of the trip, it must be the conspicuous elegance it exudes from the photos but still being within our budget range. Or it may be the almost perfect score it received from the ratings of their previous guests. Whatever it was, I was sure I needed to find it out myself and stay there. Luckily enough, we were offered a complimentary stay in this property.

It took us more than 3 hours of driving from Monemvasia to Nafplio, the hotel was very easy to find which was a good thing as I couldn’t wait to stretch my tired legs and see the property itself. 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites, just like in the photos stands out in the area with its elegant neo-classical architecture from the outside. A 19th-century house lovingly restored and kept its classical design.

The door opens up to a small reception with a stately staircase in the middle of it. The lovely aesthetics through its unique interior decoration and design would immediately make you feel like you’re in for a treat and your stay would be well-taken cared of.

We were greeted by the very kind Lydia at the reception as soon as we arrived. Her energy was very infectious, I felt like I had a shot of espresso just by talking to her (I do mean this in a good way). Little did I know that she will be one of the reasons why I would love my stay in 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites. Her hospitality and kindness is genuine and she does give very good advice on what to see, do, eat and drink around Nafplio.

We were immediately taken to our Junior Suite with a balcony which opens out to the small square just outside the property. Stunning view from it, my gopro camera spent a lot of time out there taking a timelapse video of the square.

The grandeur of our suite is not intimidating as the design of each suites was specifically done to provide a luxurious and comfortable retreat. The oversized mirror with gold frame in front of your bed where your TV is in (yes, the TV is inside the mirror) is toned down by the earthy colors of the curtains beside it. The conservative and luxurious design of the bed is toned down by the playful chairs beside it. The attention to detail in each rooms is very distinct – elegant decor without sacrificing the comfort of their guests.

We spent the rest of the day walking around the Old Town, the location of 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites is perfect as everything is just walking distance from it. We decided to have our dinner in the property’s own Cafe/Restaurant/Bar called 360 Cafe. Lydia immediately told us of her favorite dishes in the restaurant and what not to miss. We did order some of her recommendations which turned out to be exactly as how she described it.

Breakfast is offered in the same restaurant – bread, bacon, eggs, orange juice and your choice of coffee or tea is served. It’s very filling, both times that we had our breakfast there – we didn’t have to eat lunch anymore.

The lovely view from our suite.

Nafplio is also a short drive from a number of ancient ruins. Again, Lydia gave us a list of places that we can visit including the opening and closing times as well as the entrance fees. From this list we visited Mycenae, Epidavros and of course the Palamidi Castle with a stunning view Nafplio. Three days is definitely not enough if you wish to explore all the ancient ruins around.

More than its perfect location, its luxurious and comfortable rooms and its restaurant which serves exquisite dishes – it was the hospitality and kindness shown to us by the staff, Katerina and Lydia which made our stay more worthwhile. As they say, it’s the little things which makes an experience more enjoyable and although I couldn’t fault 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites of anything – our stay was definitely made more special by these two lovely ladies.

Junior Suite Accommodation for 3 days is provided by 3 Sixty Hotel and Suites however as always, opinions stated and photos are my own.

Wow! This looks great! I’d love to stay in such a posh place. Do they have an elevator, or you have to climb that spiral staircase up and down? Hope not… Thanks for joining us for #TheWeeklyPostcard this week.

They do have an elevator which we only used when checking in and out with our luggage. :p
