My 5 Favorite Business Lunch Deals in Doha

Antica Pesa Doha, Marsa Malaz Kempinski

If there’s one thing I love doing in Doha, it’s trying out the business lunch offers of in different restaurants. These deals offer a great value for money even those restaurants which would normally have crazy expensive normal prices. Everything becomes so affordable with the business lunch deals plus, you don’t have to be stressed about getting a reservation unlike if you’re going to dine for dinner.

I have tried a total of 13 business lunches in Doha which came to me as a surprise because I thought it would be more than that but then as I went through the photos, I realized that I have tried business lunch in some restaurants more than once. Sometimes, you just encounter one great dish that you can’t help but keep coming back to have it right? It maybe a dish or the ambiance of the restaurant. Whatever the case may be, these are my top 5 choices for a business lunch here in Doha.

5. Il Teatro, Four Seasons Doha

Sapore Italiano, Il Teatro, Four Seasons Doha

Il Teatro calls their business lunch Piatto Unico as it’s a one-dish meal. I’ve tried their lunch 3 times including when my Greek mother-in-law visited us for a quick holiday. She loved it! Bear in mind that her taste palate is quite hard to please specially when it comes to Mediterranean cooking which she is an expert on. Never miss the baby chicken, it’s divine!

4. Megu, The Pearl Qatar

Business lunch in Megu at The Pearl Qatar is one of the first business lunches I’ve ever tried and since then, I think I’ve been to this restaurant the most for lunch. The sushi and rolls are beautifully done, made fresh right in front of your eyes and everything tastes as good as it looks. Of course, being able to use my Entertainer voucher is one of the reasons why I kept going back to it. Hah! It’s totally worth it though, I’ve had some of the best sushi here.

3. La Spiga by Papermoon, W Doha

The very first business lunch I’ve ever tried in Doha is at La Spiga by Papermoon in W Doha hotel. I remember being amazed by the quantity of the food served as I thought the reason why business lunches are cheaper than the normal is because they’re going to serve you smaller amounts of each dishes. How wrong was I because I left the restaurant feeling so full and very much satisfied. It’s safe to say that La Spiga was the reason why I got hooked into business lunches in the first place – it gave me a very good introduction of this dining phenomenon in Doha.

2. Opal by Gordon Ramsay, The St. Regis Doha

Great ambiance, beautiful outdoor terrace and mouthwatering dishes with affordable prices – what more can you ask for? Opal by Gordon Ramsay is one of my favorites as the dishes served are always really good. You can’t go wrong with anything they have there, well at least the ones that I’ve tried.

1. Antica Pesa Doha, Marsa Malaz Kempinski

Of course Antica Pesa Doha in Marsa Malaz Kempinski takes the top spot! I immediately fell in love with the place the first time I visited it although I found their dishes too salty. The beautiful surrounding overruled my love for good food though as I didn’t hesitate to go back there for another business lunch. The second time, as they say, was lovelier. Food was so much better while I get to enjoy the beauty of the place. It was the last business lunch I’ve had for the year 2015, definitely a must-try.

FYI, I went to Antica Pesa on Sunday and learned they no longer offer their 95 riyal business lunch, but instead now have a 195 riyal lunch special. Not such a good deal anymore, unfortunately.

Doha seems like a foodie’s dream place. I wish I can stay longer than just my overnight layover when I finally fly in.

If you think about it, it is. :p
Do let me know at least a week before when you’re coming over. We can probably meet up. 🙂

I’ll give you my email when it gets closer. I was thinking of doing the complimentary tour that Qatar Airways gives to its passengers who have long layovers. It includes dropping us off for a 30minute shopping at the souk. If I don’t make it on the tour (I heard it fills up fast), then I’ll probably purchase a visa for the afternoon and do some sightseeing. Hopefully we can meet up. Is the airport from from you?
