Christmas In London | London Christmas Walking Tour Part 2

Somerset House Ice Rink - PinayFlyingHigh.com

I did another walking tour around London last week to visit all the other Christmas destinations around the city which I wasn’t able to do during the first London Christmas Walking Tour I did (read it here). This itinerary is a bit shorter and doesn’t cover as much kilometers as the first one had. So I guess I should be tagging this itinerary as an easy walking tour.

Can you believe it’s already December? I feel like 2016 flew right pass by me. It’s only now that I’m getting used to writing 2016 as the year and in a few days’ time, I need to get used to write 2017. Lol. Anyway, without further ado – here’s another of my self-made London Christmas Walking Tour. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

London Christmas Walking Tour Part 2

I started my walking tour from Somerset House as I took the train from Kingston to Waterloo. If you’re staying closer to the center of London, you can do this tour the other way around.

FIRST STOP: SKATE AT SOMERSET HOUSE
Be dazzled by the outstanding grandeur of the ice skating rink in Somerset House. Try to visit it during club nights where a DJ plays club music for all the skaters.

SECOND STOP: COVENT GARDEN
Admire the giant mistletoe in Covent Garden and do check out the biggest Christmas tree in London at the piazza.
Distance covered from Somerset House: 600m

THIRD STOP: SLINGSBY PLACE
Discover the lesser-known alleyway of Slingsby Place which is just right off Covent Garden. Don’t forget to look up and be amazed by the fairy lights twinkling above your head.
Distance covered from Covent Garden: 420m

FOURTH STOP: SEVEN DIALS
Make sure that your camera’s fully charged when you visit Seven Dials. Seven streets around a beautiful sundial each with its own Christmas light decorations, for sure you’ll be snapping away as soon as you’re there.
Distance covered from Slingsby Place: 170m

FIFTH STOP: REGENT STREET
Always save the best for last as they say and for this tour, you’ll end it at the fabulous Regent Street with angel Christmas lights hanging above your head.
Distance covered from Seven Dials (to Piccadilly Circus): 1KM

This ends the London Christmas Walking Tour Part 2. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. 🙂
