My Doha | 8 Instagrammable Restaurants in Doha

La Veranda, Sheraton Doha

A lot of people always gets surprised when they find out that I’ve been living in Doha for just over a year now, 1 year and 1 month to be exact. With all the restaurants I’ve visited here in Doha and written about, I would say it really is quite hard to imagine that I was able to visit all of them in just a span of a year – I guess that shows how much of a glutton I am. Right?

Well the thing is, I love eating out and discovering new places. I also love trying out different cuisines specially those which I haven’t tried before. I’m very adventurous when it comes to food and luckily Doha, being a very diverse city culturally is heaven for foodies like I am.

Taking photos of places I’ve been and the food that I’m about to eat (The Greek Mister hates this) is one of my many hobbies too so it’s not surprising I think if I say that Instagram is my favorite social media app. There’s just something wonderful about seeing photos which were perfectly captured to fit a small screen.

I think it’s physically impossible to be able to visit each and every single restaurants in Doha as they’ve been springing out like mushrooms for the past few days but from what I’ve seen, here are my top 8 picks of the most instagrammable restaurants in Doha. It’s hard for me to rank the restaurants so I’m just going to arrange it alphabetically.

1. Antica Pesa Doha, Marsa Malaz Kempinski

The beautiful outdoor patio of the restaurant is stunning but the interior is just as pretty as well. It’s definitely one of the best views I’ve ever seen here in Doha.

2. Backyard at The Lagoon, Ritz-Carlton Doha

The backyard of the Lagoon restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton hotel transforms into a magical place as soon as the colder weather is upon us. I loved the idea of having a picnic concept with a live band performing upbeat music. It’s definitely one of the best places here in Doha to start your weekend.

3. Chef’s Garden, Education City

I was introduced to this restaurant very recently through a bloggers’ event and I’m so glad that I was able to go. It’s absolutely stunning plus the restaurant embraces the farm-to-table concept so everything is fresh and healthy to eat.

4. Cucina, Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha

There’s something about the interior of this restaurant which I find so pretty – it’s probably the brick walls which makes you feel like you’re in an actual trattoria. Food served here is just as good as the aesthetics of the restaurant.

5. Spikes Restaurant, Doha Golf Club

It’s very rare that you’d be surrounded by a greenery here in Doha so the golf course as your view is a welcome treat for our eyes.

6. Elements, Four Seasons Doha

The newly opened restaurant which adds up to the active dining scene in Doha is in the Four Seasons Hotel. The interior design is well-thought of and the food is just as divine.

7. La Veranda, Sheraton Doha

The outdoor seating of La Veranda will take your breathe away no matter how many times you’ve seen it. Day or night, this place is stunning!

8. Urban Jazz Kitchen, The Pearl Qatar

Both the interior and the outdoor area of this restaurant at The Pearl Qatar is beautiful! I of course do love the outdoor seating better. I wish I can profess the same love for the design of their restaurant to the food they served though.

Some of these restaurants are amazing! I think I can live and eat very well in Doha. 🙂 How neat to hang out at these places! I love those first two pictures. It almost looks like you’re in Europe.

Yes! Restaurant and dining scene here in Doha is really great! Hard to keep your weight from getting off the charts though. :p

I especially agree with Cucina! It’s gorgeous and will always have a special place in my heart. Want to try La Veranda now too thanks to your post! The Backyard has moved to Sheraton now though I think? Or is that a different thing?

Have to admit, some of the best things about Doha are defo the restaurants. 🙂

I’m actually very confused with the backyard. The one in Sheraton is the exact replica of the one at The Ritz, even the signage. Maybe it is? Will have to check that. :p

And yes, best thing about Doha is the dining scene. That’s why I’m getting fatter and fatter each day. :p

      • Tami February 21, 2016 at 20:56

Will have to try the one at the Sheraton and hope it’s just as good as the one at The Ritz! 🙂

The backyard at the Ritz Carlton looks like a great place to catch a concert and to unwind!

    • Pinay Flying High February 18, 2016 at 09:46

It is! I really do love that place. 🙂

  • Geraldo Tan February 16, 2016 at 12:06

What a great perspective, Ms. Flying High! When I’m at restaurants I’m so busy stuffing my cake hole that I don’t take time to enjoy the view.

    • Pinay Flying High February 16, 2016 at 16:53

My eyes eat as much as my cake hole GT. :p Thank you for joining the link up. xxx

    • Pinay Flying High February 16, 2016 at 16:57

Everyone who moves here puts on more weight, unfortunately I am a living proof of that. Lol.

  • Polly (Follow Your Sunshine) February 15, 2016 at 11:29

Some great choices here! I think Antica Pesa and La Veranda have to be my favourite restaurants for Insta photo opportunities – the views from both are spectacular 🙂
