Foodie Wednesdays: Levante’s | Washington DC

Levante's Washington DC

We found our way towards Dupont Circle after checking in at the Carlyle Suites Hotel in Washington DC. We were starving and the boyfriend was in the mood for something Mediterranean for lunch so with the help of Foursquare, we found Levante’s to be the nearest Mediterranean Restaurant from where we were.

Levante’s serves Eastern Mediterranean cuisine in a very casual setting. We of course chose to be seated out on their patio to enjoy the great weather of DC that time. The hues of blue and white sprawled across their spacious outdoor dining reminded me somewhat of the Greek islands, I suddenly missed Greece.

The waiter served us complimentary bread baked fresh from their oven. It was still a bit hot when it was served but that didn’t stop the boyfriend and I to finish it off in a matter of seconds. For our appetizer, we shared the Levante plate.

Levante Plate

Levante plate consists of Cigars, Tsatziki, Dolma, Greek Cheese, Fried Zucchini, and Fried Eggplant.

For our main course, I had the Greek Chicken Salad while the boyfriend had Kofte sandwich. Both were delish!

It was a great meal to start our DC exploration. 🙂
