That illustration right there is what we really do feel like here nowadays. I was just thinking that there might be another sun closer to Dubai that the astrologists do not know about yet because seriously, it’s incredibly hot. Like oven-hot. I walk for about 10 minutes to the bus stop every morning and the walk these days is a torture. When I reach the bus stop, I can literally wipe off dripping sweat all over my face and arms. Arms, seriously. Beads of sweat all over my arms, not small ones, big ones. Like what you’ll see on your windshield when it rains. I stopped wearing my uniform in the morning and started wearing cotton shirts so my uniform won’t be drenched with sweat by the time I arrive at work because that would be just gross. To top it all off, Ramadan fell on the hottest month for this year so no drinking of water in public – no matter how thirsty you may be. I’m just glad today (or tomorrow) may be the last day of Ramadan, depending on the moon sighting. To all my Muslim friends/readers, Eid Mubarak!
Meanwhile, I’ll just check the cookies I’m baking….
