Visit London during the Christmas season, that should be included in everybody’s bucket list for sure. London is already pretty on a normal day so imagine how more beautiful it becomes when most of the popular destinations in the city are transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland. It’s oh so fabulous!
Covent Garden of course joined the festivities and glammed up itself for Christmas. Giant mistletoe chandeliers hung low from the ceiling and at the piazza, the biggest Christmas tree in London can be found.
Unfortunately, I missed the Covent Garden Christmas lights switch on. Artists from the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera Chorus performed at the Piazza transforming it to an open-air theater experience of song and dance. Plus, the Sugar Plum Fairy herself switched on the lights.
During this season, you can also get exclusive offers from different brands and restaurants around the Covent Garden by downloading the Blippar app on your phone. Open your Blippar app and point your camera at the tree to reveal these magical offers.
In the heart of Covent Garden, you can also find the beautiful alley of Slingsby Place which is also decorated with glittering Christmas lights.
At the end of the alley, you can find St Martin’s Courtyard which also exudes a magical Christmas atmosphere with its decorations. Clearly, it would be hard to beat London’s beauty during this season.

Your photos really got me in the mood for christmas, and for watching a Bridget Jones movie. Ever since I saw the first Bridget Jone’s movie, I can’t think of christmas in London without thinking of Bridget Jones:) The christmas tree looks beautiful. Wonder where they grow christmas trees as big as that one.
Call me crazy but I’ve never seen any of the Bridget Jones movies. Lol.
I adore Covent Garden at anytime of the year, but at Christmas it’s even more special. Love the pics 🙂
