The Maid Culture

November 8, 2014
I was speaking to a friend about the Dubai post I made which became viral and we were talking about how a lot of people hate Dubai based on the hate comments I’ve received since I posted it. People from all over the world would actually waste their time to comment just to show how they absolutely hate the guts of Dubai. Some of them were ex-residents, some were current residents and what really surprised me t

Reasons Why Living In Dubai Will Ruin You For Life

October 20, 2014
Dubai Skyline
Exactly 2 months ago from today, I arrived in the US for a holiday – an extended one as you may notice. I can’t say that I am going thru a culture shock but after spending 7 years in the glamorous city of Dubai, it did kind of ruin me in some ways. I am missing a lot of things that are considered normal in Dubai but totally unnecessary to the rest of the world. Yep, the rich city of Dubai spoiled us big

Where I Stayed in Bentota, Sri Lanka: Vivanta by Taj Bentota

Whenever I create a holiday package to Sri Lanka, I would always include a stay in this city and more particularly,

The only thing I knew then was that it was going to be hot and this I tell you, no matter how much you psych yourself up on how hot and humid Dubai is going to be, it’s still not going to be good enough until you actually experience it. It’s that hot in here! Yacht Cruise at t

Dealing with loss.

August 17, 2014
For the past few several days, I learned how strong the words death, dead and died for me. I can’t seem to describe my father’s passing as those words, I cringe everytime just by thinking of composing a sentence with those words. It made me realize how unprepared I am to face such a dilemma in life that I can’t even say those words aloud. In my head, saying that my father died or that my father is

My Father Passed Away.

August 5, 2014
My father passed away. It was Sunday, 27th of July 2014, I just spent a great sponsored weekend at a luxury property in Doha. I met my friend Donessa and we were just about to go out to explore the city in depth. I checked my phone for time and I saw my aunt’s registered missed call, in that instance I already knew my father passed away. I don’t know why nor how, I just knew that my father passed away.
