A Day Tour To Annapolis, Maryland

Annapolis, Maryland

We left my sister’s house to go to Annapolis one Friday morning to have my marriage certificate attested by the Secretary of State. Being the capital city of Maryland, the Secretary of State office is located in this very pretty city. As many of you may remember, I wasn’t very psyched to see the US as a tourist destination – that was until I started exploring the small charming cities which are not as popular as the other bigger cities. I do think Annapolis is just one of them which deserves the attention the other cities are getting – it’s charming, it’s historical, it’s cute and it’s really very pretty.

Annapolis is located 32 miles from Washington DC. It is easily accessible by car and can be a day tour destination from DC. I would love to spend a night there though and stay in one of the charming bed and breakfast that I saw. If driving is not an option for you, you can easily take a bus or a train to go there from DC.

We of course focused in the historic district of Annapolis – it was lined up with restaurants, small boutique shops and cafes. The sun was at its peak when we were there so it was a great day for us to walk around and explore this city.

I think for me, being a small city junkie, I can easily stay here for 3 days and enjoy its quaintness until I can no longer handle it. :p

      Hi Rose,
      Thank you for dropping by.
I would normally create a blog post on how to apply for visas but deliberately skipped the US visa since it really depends on the decision of the embassy. There is no definitive way of applying for a US visa which will guarantee visa issuance, trust me I know – I have been applying for it since I was a kid. Anyway, the best advice I can give you is for you to be able to assure them that you’re not going to illegally stay in the US – you’ve got to have a very stable job, a family or anything that ties you to your country of residence. That’s the best advice I can give you, unfortunately.
