To continue on that one fine day in Los Angeles post – for dinner, my Aunt brought us to Americana at Brand which is a huge complex of restaurants, shops and a lot of entertainment options too. In the middle of the complex was the dancing fountain and light show. It may not be as huge as all the other dancing fountains out there but it’s still great to see it. It was the perfect weather to walk around the area which we explored a bit before heading to Trattoria Amici to have our Italian fix for dinner. I think this complex is a tourist destination on its own.
Trattoria Amici serves Northern Italian cuisine with an al fresco dining option overlooking The Green of Americana at Brand. As I wasn’t really very hungry that night (I was still full from all the food that I ate at Noodle World for lunch), I ordered Insalata Di Barbabietole which has baby mixed greens over roasted beets with blue cheese, candied pecans and green apples in a balsamic vinaigrette. That was yummy and I also had my fair share of the starters that we ordered.
After dinner, we walked some more around the beautiful grounds of the area. It wasn’t even the weekend yet but Americana at Brand is already package. I bet they were all tourists too. My Aunt pointed out the residential condominiums around the area which I wouldn’t want to live in, what with all the commotion of this place with tourists every night. Must been a very expensive place to live in too. :p
I would say that Americana at Brand is a great destination for families. I would love to see how beautiful it is during the day too.
